Wendy Burridge – FounderWendy has 16 years of sales and marketing experience within the South African Wine industry of which 5 of those years were spent at Wine of the Month Club understanding and learning about direct-to-consumer wine marketing. Wendy has exhibited a clear understanding of what makes a happy customer, while helping Wine of the Month exceed their sales goals. Wendy is originally from Pretoria and is currently doing a Master in Wine Business Management at the University of Adelaide in conjunction with UCT. All her research for her masters has been done on direct-to-consumer marketing taking examples from the USA and Australia. Previous studies include, B Com Marketing at the University of Pretoria as well as graduating with her Cape Wine Academy Diploma in 1995. She is a garagiste winemaker producing the well accepted and exported Black Stallion range. Wendy is well regarded within the South African wine industry and has judged in many wine competitions including the ABSA Young Pinotage Competition. |

George Bottome – OperationsGeorge has been involved in marketing, direct marketing and electronic database management for 30 years, building database systems for internal corporate use as well as sales resource management systems. Web design and electronic marketing as well as search engine optimisation became an important aspect of his marketing development and he provides a unique fit in the Wine Business Services organisation being able to combine the technical and marketing aspects for clients. He has a Cape Wine Academy Certificate and has been collecting and enjoying wines for the past 30 years. He also has a double degree (BSc BSocSci) from UCT. |

Margaret Offersen – Call Centre ManagerMargaret has 14 years of experience in the wine industry with 10 years specifically in Call Centre Management. She brings this combination of interests into the company handling the call centre. She is the sharp-end of the business and acts as the interface between the end-user client and the wine farm. Her knowledge of wine and ability to communicate is an important aspect of the business. |
